coil winding

Coil Winding
Coil winding is the process of wrapping wire around a cylindrical form or other forms in a continuous spiral-like method to create a coil either on a center support like a bobbin or toroid, or as a standalone air coil.

S&N® has years of experience producing a wide variety of windings.

S&N® WINDING CAPABILITIES:

  • Bachi model 425 servo-controlled winder. Capable of winding 2-up, 3-inch max diameter coil, 12-25 ga. Wire

  • MCS servo-controlled winder. Capable of winding 3-up , 3-inch max diameter coil. 11-26 ga. wire.

  • 3 Bachi hydraulic controlled winders. Capable of winding 1-up, 2-1/2  Inch diameter coil, 12-28 ga wire.

  • Geo. Stevens servo-controlled winder. Capable of winding 2-up, 2-Inch diameter coil, 22-33 ga. wire.

  • 2 Amtech sonic wire welders capable of sonically welding leads to coil wire.

We have also built molds to allow for the molding impregnation of smaller runs. We currently epoxy impregnate our own coils and solenoids.
