37/41/42 MT Starter Solenoids
The starter solenoid’s function is to push the drive pinion gear into engagement with the ring gear teeth and to act as a relay switch to energize the starter motor. These switches are designed to work with Delco Remy starters found on many mid and larger over-the-road trucks.
Magnetic Solenoids/Relays
S&N® intermittent and continuous duty solenoids provide safe, dependable control of electrical systems on all type of DC low voltage vehicles. We also offer them for marine applications and for forward and reverse systems in golf carts, garden tractors, forklift trucks and winch operation. These solenoids are commonly used to remotely switch a heavier current. By using a solenoid, the amount of heavy wiring needed to power the load is reduced.
Series-Parallel Solenoids
These solenoids allow for two 12-volt batteries to be linked in series (forming 24-volts) for starting while also linked in parallel (12-volts) for charging.
Push/Pull Solenoids
These solenoids use electromagnetism to convert electrical energy into mechanical motion. The movement of the solenoid may be used to close a set of electrical contacts, cause the movement of a mechanical device, or both at the same time.
Starter Solenoids
The starter solenoid’s function is to push the drive pinion gear into engagement with the ring gear teeth and to act as a relay switch to energize the starter motor. These switches are designed to work with military and heavy-duty off-road equipment starters.
Custom Solenoids
If your requirements are not met by one of the solenoids listed as a standard item, S&N® can develop a custom design for you.
